The third session in the launch series, on the one thing that decides whether a maker gets shortlisted: the portfolio.
Founding members submitted live work in advance, and we reviewed it on screen, in front of everyone, without softening the feedback. Each teardown followed the same three questions a client asks in the first ten seconds. What is this. What did you actually do on it. What changed because you did it.
Recurring problems came up often enough to be worth naming: case studies that describe the brief instead of the contribution, screenshots with no context, and beautiful work with no stated outcome. The stronger submissions were rebuilt on the call so the rest of the cohort could see the difference the same evening.
Attendance was by private invitation to founding members.
This event has already taken place, and attendance was by private invitation to makers/pk members.
